“People who attend weight loss support groups lose more weight than those who go it alone”
You don’t have to lose weight all by yourself - in fact it’s probably best that you don’t.
Research shows that having support on your weight loss journey enhances self-esteem and provides motivation to keep going.
A study published recently in the American Journal of Medicine found that participants who attended weekly support meetings, lost on average, five times more weight than those who relied solely on the information and advice that they were given.
So, if you’ve tried losing weight on your own with little or no success, it might be time to join a supportive group of like-minded people who are on the same journey.
The Perth Weight Loss Support Group meets every Wednesday night from 7pm to 8pm at the Perth Consulting Rooms, Suite 4, 114 Churchill Avenue, Subiaco.
Cost: $15 per meeting. Click below to book & purchase tickets
